Fly High Foundation is fortunate to have passionate and talented board members. These individuals are dedicated to our mission and contribute valuable input to help guide the foundation as we strive to provide lasting memories to families and provide comfort during their grieving process.
Jerry Samson
FOUNDER AND CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Jerry is a retired executive with 40 years of experience in business. He has served on numerous boards and is excited about the mission of Fly High Foundation. He and his wife Tracy split time between Florida and Minnesota and enjoy pickle ball, golf, travel, and being with friends and family. He is so proud to be a founding member of this foundation to forever honor his grandson Callum. He believes in the importance of remembering those we have lost and is passionate about helping others create lasting memories of their loved ones.
Tracy Gunkelman Samson
FOUNDER AND BOARD MEMBER
Tracy is a retired pharmacist. After 40 years of helping the young and old with their medication needs and being a volunteer at her kid’s schools throughout the years, she has grown to appreciate the importance of family love; especially evident with young parents. So when she and her husband Jerry, had the vision of starting the Fly High Foundation after the tragic loss of their 1st grandchild Callum, she understood the pain associated with the loss of an infant on young parents and the importance of keeping those memories alive.
Lindsay Duncan
FOUNDER AND BOARD MEMBER
Lindsay currently lives in Plymouth, MN with her husband, Eli and chocolate lab Bauer. Lindsay works as a pharmacist for Walgreens. During her free time, she loves being outdoors, traveling, working out, and spending time with family and friends. After unexpectedly losing her son Callum, she feels so passionate about helping other families who go through this same type of loss. She hopes to provide some hope for these families and ensure that their little one will never be forgotten.
Eli Duncan
FOUNDER AND BOARD MEMBER
Eli is a Dell Account Manager at Flagship Technologies based in Medina, MN. Currently, he and his wife Lindsay live in Plymouth, MN with their 4-year-old dog Bauer. Eli is a passionate hockey fan. He spends much of his time in the rink coaching the Osseo Maple Grove team. If he isn’t in the rink coaching, you will likely find him as a referee. Eli enjoys golf in the summer with friends and family. He was eager to help others in similar situations after the loss of his son Callum, which prompted an opportunity to help spearhead this foundation. He believes no parent should have to endure the pain he went through and he understands the importance of helping those families grieve and keeping their loved ones always remembered.
Matt Kenney
VICE-CHAIR OF THE BOARD
Matt has 30+ years as an operations senior leader in the Medical Device and CPG Food industries. He is currently owner of a consulting company focused on helping companies transform their operational value streams. He and his wife reside in Colorado and enjoy mountain living and spending time with family and friends. He is a long-time friend of the Samson family and passionate about establishing and ensuring Fly High Foundation achieves its mission.
Shari Hutar-Brochhausen
VICE-CHAIR OF THE BOARD
Shari is an experienced visual storyteller as a Producer, Director, and Editor working on commercials, independent films, documentaries, and corporate videos. As CEO of Cutback Films for the past 15 years, she is dedicated to giving back. Cutback Films has actively supported various charities such as the Aliveness Project, Ronald McDonald House, and Children’s Hospital. Shari is proud to honor Callum and serve as a board member of the non-profit Fly High Foundation. She strives to live each day to the fullest with kindness. Her joy in life is to spend time with her sons (being grownups now, she takes every opportunity offered) and her wife. They are foodies through and through and love to explore great restaurants or cook together at home. She also enjoys staying active by swimming and playing pickle ball.
Jeff Borowicz
BOARD MEMBER
Jeffrey works as a sales executive for a Twin Cities-based provider of shelf stable, pre-packaged grab-and-go meal kits for the public school sector across the United States. He and his wife Michelle, an elementary school teacher, live in Corcoran, Minnesota. They enjoy splitting time between their home and their cabin in north central Minnesota. They keep busy tending to their two horses, a donkey, and their dogs and cat. When asked by Jerry and Tracy if he would like to join the Fly High Foundation as a Board Member, Jeffrey’s response was a resounding “Yes!” He offers a skill set of empathy, harmony, arranger, adaptability, and developer.
Beth Sundberg
BOARD MEMBER
Beth is a Vice President at BI WORLDWIDE where she leads technology teams through pre-sale and operations. She and her husband Nate reside in Plymouth, MN with their two children Emmy and Austin. They keep busy with youth sports activities, supporting all Minnesota sports (especially the Gophers), and spending time at their cabin with family. Family has always been such a significant part of who Beth is, which is why this foundation is so important to her. She is humbled and honored to serve on the board to support her cousin Lindsay and preserve the memory of Callum and other infant angels.
Alex Holland
BOARD MEMBER
Alex currently resides in Minneapolis, MN, where she works for Target Corporation. In 2016, Alex took a brief hiatus from Corporate America where she spent eleven months on a mission trip in South America. There Alex found a passion for young adults with special needs. Alex is currently a volunteer leader with Young Life Capernaum where she works to ensure that young adults with differing abilities are known, valued and loved for exactly who they are. After watching her best friends lose their first child, Callum, Alex vowed to ensure that she would always strive to keep his memory alive. She serves as a Board Member of the Fly High Foundation to protect and preserve the memories of all infant angels.
